Silent Auctions are a great way to add-on to an event you already have planned. A sit down dinner/dance, a fashion show, a golf tournament or other event would lend itself to adding a silent auction in conjunction with the other activities. There are so many silent auction ideas on items to be offered that the variety is endless. Since these are usually donated items, for advertising purposes or as contributions, 100% of the proceeds go to the organization. A few donated items may be airline tickets, cruises, handmade items such as gift baskets, artwork, gift certificates, limousine service, etc., etc.

Artcetra events may include our own artwork at silent auction, as well as donated items, along with a live auction. We will “live” auction a few donated items worth $500 or more and that really gets the excitement level and interest level climbing to a high pitch.

New businesses in the area may be willing to donate their products and will find this type of evening’s exposure invaluable for getting a foothold in the community. In so doing, they have a vested interest in how the event progresses. They may be willing to volunteer their services to organize the event and promote it. That way the circle of influence of the organization’s members is expanded, enlarging the event’s attendance and therefore raising even more money for the cause at hand.
